A 10-WEEK WORKSHOP FOR ADULT MEN AND WOMEN WITH CHRONIC PAIN
Are you struggling with managing your chronic pain? Do you feel like a failure because you can’t contribute like you used to? Do you miss your “old self?” Imagine if you could manage your pain better so that you can cook dinner, play with your kids, resume your hobby…get back to your “old self!” There are skills you can learn to manage pain better. Are you ready to learn how to LIVE your life with chronic pain?
This skill-building group can teach you some of the most important skills for managing your chronic physical pain and helping you LIVE WELL WITH CHRONIC PAIN. This 10-week cognitive-behavioral workshop is for adult men and women who have at least one chronic pain condition and who have been struggling with chronic pain for at least 6 months.
In this group, you will learn several skills that are evidence-based and scientifically shown to help you enjoy life…even though you have chronic pain. The skills you will learn include: how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions affect pain and what to do about it, relaxation strategies to ease pain, pacing and how it can prevent the “push-crash-burn” cycle, how to make plans for “flare days”, how to prevent relapse and get support from others with chronic pain. You’ll also get a binder with handouts.
