Active Parenting of Teens Workshop

Why take an Active Parenting class? Hear what these parents have to say!

Parents were all teenagers once. Even though you have personal experience of being a teen, the world today is entirely different than the one you were raised in. With an increase in social media use, mental health issues, and isolation, you and your teen are navigating new waters. You are not alone with the problems you’re experiencing with your teenager, and there is help for you!

Do you know what your parenting style is?  One of the best ways to connect with your pre-teen or teen is to have an understanding of how you approach things. Take this Parenting Quiz to get learn your parenting style.

Learn how to teach your teenager responsibility and respect, discover the most effective ways to discipline your teenager, and most importantly find out how to communicate with your teenager to develop a healthy, and mutually satisfying relationship.  Get the tools you need to help your teenager succeed in this world!

There is a temptation for co-parents to triangulate their teen into the conflict between the co-parents. Bringing children, even teenagers, into the conflict that happens between two divorced parents can be damaging to a teenager’s self-esteem. Co-parents can benefit from this workshop by learning how to attend to their teenager’s needs as opposed to depending on the teenager to take care of the parent’s needs.

This workshop is intended for parents or co-parents of pre-teens and teens who want to enhance their relationship with their teen, learn how to encourage their teen in a world full of negative influences and discouragement, and achieve cooperation and mutual respect. Please complete the form if you are interested in being considered for the group. Space is limited. This information will be kept private and confidential as it is virtually stored in our HIPAA compliant email system through Google Suites. Register now for one of a workshop!
