Theodore (Ted) Robinson is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Legacy Counseling Service in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a Master of Science in Counseling. He has over 15 years of experience as a therapist. Ted has a heart for counseling people who have been through difficult times, such as a one-time traumatic experience, chronic childhood abuse or neglect, current life transitions, and chronic pain and illness. Ted uses Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), all of which are evidence-based treatments.
Ted has a quiet and gentle disposition that helps clients explore their deepest issues and begin healing. “If you are ready for mental health counseling, you and I will work together to help you move out of guilt and shame and recover from the situations that led you to believe that you are worthless, broken, or unlovable. As counseling progresses, you will begin to feel confident in managing your daily life, be compassionate when you have a hard day, enjoy your friends and family more, and feel like doing things. And you’ll learn how to heal from a painful past and turn the volume down on the harsh thoughts about yourself. You can rediscover your true self again.”
Insurance: Ted accepts most plans through BCBS, Community Care, Health Choice, and Alliance Coal Group. She does not accept Medicaid or Medicare (primary or secondary).
“If incorporating spirituality, especially a Christian worldview, is important to you, I’m well-suited to help you understand how your spiritual beliefs influence your current struggle and how your faith can help you heal. I follow Jesus Christ and believe healing can occur through the Holy Spirit through counseling. But first and foremost, my goal in counseling is to respect people of all faith backgrounds and not push my personal beliefs onto you. I want to provide you with a safe and secure place to deal with whatever has happened in your life.”
