I often think that the better way is the long way, the harder way. So, I tend to cook most of my meals rather than eat out, I’d rather paint it myself than hire someone, and I’d rather knit (yes, I used to do this back in the day) than buy a blanket. To me, there is something to be said for relaxing in the process of creating something. It maintains my mental health…it slows me down, I can be mindful, relaxed, and creative. I like seeing what I produce and enjoying the fruits of my labor.
But now days we seem to run such a fast race and we rely on technology to do a lot of things for us…even develop and maintain relationships. We can rely TOO much on technology. I’ve often thought about how our over use of technology impacts our emotional health and our relationships. Here is an interesting article about the impact technology has on us.
