Leetta Sodiya, LCSW
Depression | Anxiety | Trauma | Individuals Age 16+
Leetta graduated from Northeastern State University with her Bachelor of Social Work in 2012. In 2013, she received her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Leetta has a cumulative 13 years of experience working with adults recovering from mental illness. She spent her first tenure as a social worker within community-based models and, for the last 3 years, has been a practicing therapist. Leetta’s dynamic experience with strength-based models and holistic perspective of people has honed her keen insight. She helps clients find their voices again and rediscover their strengths, talents, and abilities. Leetta also served in the US Army Reserves from 4/4/2013 to 3/17/2017 with an honorable discharge. Leetta provides mental health counseling to adults, including veterans, in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, and the surrounding Tulsa-metro area.
A Note from Leetta: Life can be very challenging at times. Focusing on the small wins in life helps build confidence to tackle more daunting day-to-day tasks and circumstances. Whether you’re struggling with an algebra exam, or stress about how other people view you, or even how to manage your emotions, you are enough, and you are important.
Many people feel angry, sad, frustrated, alone, and have nowhere to go and no one to talk to. It’s normal to feel like your back is against the wall when you are faced with unprecedented challenges. Therapy can help you navigate tough thoughts and emotions that many people feel on a daily basis. Therapy provides a safe place to be heard and process our perspective during difficult moments in our lives.
The purpose of my role is to highlight those once-forgotten talents and strengths that you already possess. Therapy is about building a strong foundation, so that when you are riddled with challenges, you already have the tools in your toolbox ready to face the challenges with confidence and support.
“I believe that all people deserve a safe place to be themselves and not have to worry about being judged, humiliated, or belittled.”
Therapy methods: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Leetta is currently working towards Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certification.
