As a teen life can get hard. The pressures of school, bullying, cyber bullying and family life can sometimes lead to depression or anxiety.
Being a teenager can be overwhelming and sometimes lonely. Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and loneliness seem to take over where peace, joy and fun loving relationships with friends and family once filled your life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Legacy Counseling Service in Broken Arrow, OK Sandy Stone uses cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy in a caring, Christian atmosphere, to help teenagers identify problems, establish goals, and work to reach those goals so they can find a renewed sense of well-being. Through therapy with Sandy, your teen will develop coping skills, improve communication skills with friends and family members, and deepen their spiritual relationship. The skills learned through the counseling relationship can be the answer to helping with the emotional and mental stresses that a teenager faces through the current pressures of social media, bullying, cyber bullying, and school stresses. Counseling can help your teenager learn self-awareness and acceptance, identify weaknesses and organize their thoughts and actions so that they can be successful both academically and socially.
