COULD YOUR SMART PHONE BE KEEPING YOU UP AT NIGHT?
It’s no secret that many of us wind down at night by laying in bed and scrolling social media sites or reading on a tablet, Nook, or Kindle. Although you may think this is a good way for you to relax and get sleepy, the light from your device may actually be having the opposite effect and be disrupting your sleep. Check out this short video to learn how light from our devices impact our sleep system. http://www.wsj.com/video/could-your-smartphone-screen-be-disrupting-your-sleep/72899C8C-01FF-4C46-8BAB-9FF2DE953228.html
So what should you do instead? Keep up with your social media following or read an hour or two before bedtime and in a place that’s not your bed. Think couch, chair in your bedroom, or kitchen table.
